If I were to choose between Leadcore line and wire in Boston Harbor, it would be leadcore for the following reasons. 1. We fish in 6 to 12 feet of water for stripers. 2. When using tube and worm technique the line is color coded thus it is easy to determine how far back you are fishing. Ex. four colors is 120feet. 3. Does not kink like wire. 4. Available in 27lb.,47lb.,60lb.,test. 5. when fishing shallow the leadcore keeps the tube just about three feet down so less chance in shallow water to snag. Withstands hooking the bottom and of lobster pots with easy release. Best way to fish Leadcore. As you approach shallow water, watch fish finder and when you reach 10 foot mark, turn and follow 10 this depth along area fishing. THIS METHOD HAS BEEN SUCESSFULL TO CATCH OVER 3000 STRIPPERS.
