The salmon fishing is statring to heat up on the eastern end of Lake Ontario, although last week the fish were deep 150 plus because of a hard north west blow for a few days. Best spoons that were producing were black & silver and black/purple NK28 spoons and cut bait with flashers down 150 of cable on the riggers over 150 feet of water trolling slow slow. They were mixed in with the Lake Trout. Brown Trout has been good to very good for this time of year. Start looking for them where the thermocline meets the bottom with small 2-2 1/2 inch spoons trolling at 1.9 to 2.6 mph. Michigan Stinger spoons have done well for the browns and I expect them to do just as well for the salmon. Best colors for me have been the green/chartreuse with black dots and the dark red/light red with black spots. Don't forget to check out the Tri Flash Trout & Salmon Attractor when you visit the tackle shops here in New York or see them right here on the net at http//www.hallcrash.com/triflash Hope these tips help you catch your limit and don't forget to C.P.R.
