Fishing Report for Tarpon Springs to Crystal River, Fl. By Capt. Dennis Royston

A FULL TIME FISHING GUIDE

The weather has been great. Cool nights and worm days with low winds and no rain. There is a slight chance of rain on Thanksgiving, but clear for the weekend.

Trout on the flats is and will continue to provide the most action until some hard cold fronts in mid to late December move the fish into the deeper holes in the rivers and residential canals. Jigs, Top water baits or live shrimp fished below a popping float will be your best bets.

There are lots of Cobia on the inner flats. Put out that drag line behind your boat while drifting for Trout. Use a live Pinfish under a small float.

Snook and Reds are eating pilchards - (when you can find them) otherwise try large shrimp or pinfish for live bait. Top water plugs and rattle type baits are also producing.

With the full moon passing the fishing should be good for the weekend.
