Since when is a contender a cheap boat? Just got a price on a 2000 35 ($104,000) with twin Yamaha's($35,164) with no options ( I would love to know where you can buy a "cheap" contender". You have to give Contender a chance, like all boating company even cars, theres always one that falls through the cracks For instance bought a bare 1995 brand new in 95 and cut out the floor to build an inboard and found out that too much lead was put in and had to redo the whole inside floor and gas tanks because of poor contruction .Proline paid us for the labor being we were a certified mechanic. ITS ALL HOW YOU APPROACH WARRANTY WORK. THey probably treated you the way you did with them. For every one Contender hater you will find 5 that swear by them, no other open fisherman compares.
