Captain Dave Hanson, of Fishbuster Charters, fished 12 to 14 miles west of Wiggins Pass in Naples, and also at May's Reef this week. His clients, Rock Shramm with friends Carla, Lori, and Cathy, caught keeper mangrove snapper, keeper lane snapper, ladyfish to 30 inches, jack cravalle, grunts, blue runners, porkfish, red grouper, and loads of triggerfish, using live shrimp and light spinning tackle off the pass. Clients Bill Duetten, Bill Jr., and Kent Chaney fished the reef with live shrimp and shiners. They caught mangrove snapper to 14 inches, large grunts, blue runners, and best of all, a 39 1/2 inch cobia.
