How to Choose Your Spinners

Any Mepps and Blue Foxes are quite effective for bass. Spinner blades, on any spinner, create a vibration in the water, which is picked up by the fish's lateral line. The spinner also attracts fish with it's flash. Blue Foxes have a rattle, which will create sound vibrations under the water. Spinners should be size 0-4 and hair should also be in these size ranges. Most colours will work well, but lately we have found that a red and white tail has produced a good amount of fish. Don't start to believe that the bigger the spinner and tail the bigger the fish because Jordan has pulled in an 18 inch smallmouth on a size 0 hair and spinner. Spinners have proven to be one of the best, if not the best, bass lures.
