Casting Lures For Walleye

For walleye, it is important to fish structures. Walleye tend to stay near deeper structures during the day. At night they still hang around structures, but in shallower water. Lures that work well for casting, are crankbaits, Mepps (spinners) with worms, spinnerbaits, and stickbaits.

If you catch a fish while trolling, stop and cast that area. Cast to any nearby structures or possible fish hangouts.

Choose your lures by using the information given about weather, water, and time of day for walleye fishing.
