Tuna season starts June 1st
Tuna Hunter will depart at 5:30 AM and return at 4:00 PM. The grounds we fish are Jeffries Ledge and Stellwagen Bank. We will anchor Tuna Hunter at the drop-off and start chumming with fresh herring. We will fish for live bait, catching a variety of bottom fish. A nice 4-pound cod, if you don't want to eat him, makes a good live bait.
Many times while chumming, we will attract mako and blue sharks.
Whales are often seen while tuna fishing, feeding on the same food.
Tuna Hunter is equipped with a state-of-the-art fish finder so we can watch the chum slick and see the tuna in the slick.
